Hot Springs

We come from dust and return to dust (Minerals of the earth)

The mineral water in this spring-fed pool comes from deep within the earth. It once was surface water that moved down through faults and cracks, then met hot, molten rock thousands of feet below the surface. There it absorbed minerals from gases released by the liquid rock. The steamy water bubbled back to the surface, dissolving more minerals along the way.

The temperature of the six springs ranges from 48.9 to 64.4 degrees C (120 to 148 degrees F). The pools inflow is regulated so that the pool temperature stays between  38.9 and 41.1 degrees C. (102 and 106 degrees F).

Mineral waters have traditionally been said to cure a long list of illnesses. Today, thousands of people visit these hot springs simply for relaxation and recreation.

Mark

Grover Hot Springs is near Markleeville outside of South Lake Tahoe, California. Talking to people it was said that this spring is being diluted to about 1/3 it's strength. There are many places that have hot springs at full strength minerals.

Note:

Having pain problems now days with my knees, soaking in hot springs helps about 95%. But realize that you need to consume water during the soak. I consider 5 hours a day to be a minimum soaking period to do any good. But you have to listen to your body because this could be longer or shorter.

This is also the case when someone is using the seawater.
