"The Word 'Colloidal' is a Bunch of Bunk!"

From: The Rockland Corporation

We basically introduced the word "colloidal" to the health food supplement industry in 1984. Because of our SUCCESS with liquid minerals, it now seems that nearly every company has a "colloidal" something. Many people are under the impression that the term colloidal describes plant source because The Rockland Corporation advertised its plant source minerals as being colloidal. We now realize this simply is not true! This was a big mistake on our part. We knew our plant minerals were much smaller than metallic minerals and we knew the word colloidal defined smallness. Therefore, we came up with the colloidal description.

Nearly any object can become a colloid if it is reduced by separation or broken down to its smallest divisible size while maintaining the characteristics of a whole. Therefore, a colloid can conceivably weigh a pound or a ton or thousands of tons. A metallic mineral mineral can be colloidal because it is as small as it can be even though it may still be from 200 to 2,000 times larger than a pure, water soluble, plant derived mineral. Don't be mislead! Colloidal minerals are not necessarily plant derived. Rockland is changing all of its literature and labels to eliminate the word colloidal because we don't want our product to be associated with what has become the "colloidal mineral chicanery" and because we now believe it has no bearing on the true description of a source or group of minerals. The real difference is simple: They are either metallic, chelated (metallic with a dissolver) or plant derived. Naturally, in our opinion, and from our experience, plant minerals are in a league of their own.

I personally used the "Total Toddy" when I was on my deathbed, around 1989. The vitamins and minerals were called colloidal minerals at the time but these priceless minerals came from a plant derived minerals source and were in a liquid form. Author of www.stopcancer.com
